Many people may recognize the correlation between Mayfield Farm Park and the Mayfield Dairy that just so happens to be right down the road from the farm itself. In 1820, the Mayfield’s planted their roots in Athens, Tennessee and started the dairy in 1910. After 81 years of being in the dairy business, the dairy was sold to Dean Foods in 1991 and is still under their operation today.
From 1991-2005, the Mayfield family took a break from farming, however, in 2006, Michael Mayfield rekindled his passion for farming with fruits and vegetables. In 2008, the Mayfield Corn Maze opened its doors and has been in operation ever since. Michael and his wife Jamie now have two beautiful children and are dedicated to developing Mayfield Farm Park into the best family friendly agritourism destination in Tennessee.
